Travel and Transformation
When we step outside of our known environments we have an opportunity to encounter ourselves with a fresh vision. We can allow the old identities to fall away and make a home for ourselves within the calm, still core of our being. This trip will open your eyes to new worlds where you will rediscover a connection to authenticity and wonder.
Daily Structure
Day 1
Arrive in Hawaii
Arrive in Kailua-Kona on the wayward shores of Hawaii Island. Meet your hosts and fellow journeymen at the staging and preparation site. (Steve's private residence)
Distribute food and gear as necessary. Group campfire and kava ceremony, where we will set intentions for the retreat. Camp on site.

Day 2
Hike into Waimanu Valley
Travel into sacred Waipio Valley (the valley of the ancient kings) to the the Muliwai Trail: a 9 mile challenging and scenic route renowned for its breathtaking views, steep switchbacks, and rugged, untouched beauty of the Hamakua Coast.
Arrive at Waimanu Valley, a remote and spectacularly pristine area accessible only by foot. No cell service, no outside world, only nature.
Set up camp, working together to gather resources such as drinking water and firewood.
Day 3
Wake up on the edge of the world.
Group exploration of the valley, day hiking to waterfalls, team bonding.

The valley floor of Waimanu is a breathtaking tapestry of lush greenery, with towering cliffs surrounding it on three sides, creating a dramatic backdrop. Within the valley, hikers can find a series of streams and waterfalls cascading down the cliffs, the most famous being Waihilau Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Hawaii, plunging hundreds of feet in a single drop. The area is rich in native flora and fauna, offering a glimpse into the ecological diversity of Hawaii's landscapes.
Day 4
Going Deeper
Exploring our independence – A day of silent reflection in the Valley. Explore on your own. Find a spot to sit with yourself. Journal. Ask the big questions. Meditation, and solo self-reflection.
Reconvene in late afternoon to share and cook together.

Day 5
Clarity and Wisdom
Final Day in the Valley. Integrate insights. Exist in a way that is open and free. Allow for more of your authenticity to come through. Get to clarity on how you want to show up in the world.

Closing Ceremony
Day 6
Hike out as you are born into the world again.
Break camp early and hike out of the valley. Share a feast and a sunset at Kua Bay.
Transport to Airport or to other accommodations if you are choosing to extend your stay on the island.
Optional: Shower, laundry, Campout one final night at the staging site before you fly out the next day.
